iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max may be more expensive than older models

Apple is expected to offer many upgrades for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and set prices higher than the iPhone 13 generation.

From the iPhone 14 generation, the iPhone mini may be discontinued and replaced by the iPhone 14 Max. In addition, Apple is expected to offer many design and feature upgrades on the Pro line, causing the price to increase sharply compared to its predecessor.

According to recent rumors, the company will replace the familiar "rabbit ears" defect with a punch-hole design, 48 Megapixel camera instead of 12 Megapixel like previous versions, allowing 8K video recording. The iPhone 14 Pro series may also be equipped with a USB-C connector instead of the previous Lightning connection, helping to transfer data at high speeds.

The Pro duo is also upgraded to the latest A16 Bionic chip and higher RAM, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max versions are only equipped with the old A15 chip.

The above changes lead to the price of iPhone 14 may be volatile.

According to information from LeaksApplePro, the cheapest iPhone 14 version starts at $799, equivalent to iPhone 13. iPhone 14 Max starts at $899. Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Pro starts at $1,099 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at $1,199, both $100 more than the previous model.

The first cause of the price increase is economic fluctuations and instability in the supply chain, especially the global chip shortage.

In addition, Apple thinks there should be a gap in price and features between the 14 Max and 14 Pro. Traditionally, the gap between the regular iPhone line and the iPhone Pro line is $200.
